I was faced with a communication challenge when I was a manager once. The day shift and night shift were always complaining about the other, yet they refused to get together and talk things over by themselves. How I fixed this communication barrier was to start having meeting with both teams at the same time once a week, it broke down the barriers and a lot more started getting completed and sales went up.

I use critical thinking everyday in my line of work. Critical thinking is essential when you are making decisions that will affect other people lives. One thing I could do better is to get more detailed about the critical thinking process.

I had to have a difficult conversation one time to different stack holders when I was a manger of a local retail chain. Everyone seemed to have a different perspective on how things should be handled. The situation got a little heated because we had two stake holders that would not stop interrupting each other because they disagreed.  In hindsight, knowing what I have learned  in this module about setting clear expectations before the meeting started is what I would have done differently to keep that from happening.

There was a doctor for a hospital and he had great influence over stakeholders when it come to deciding whether or not to make an E.O.E. clinic in the hospital for children like mine who have this rare disease. He was able to get the proposal accepted by being respected as a great doctor, winning votes by rallying the families and other doctors for the proposal. The stake holders accept the proposal and put it into affect. The doctor also showed the need for such a clinic.

Job analysis could help me direct the right clients with right career. It could also help me see what jobs are more available and be able to focus on jobs that are hard to fill or have big turnover rates. I could analysis what careers fall under what code so that I would be to connect more people in different backgrounds of work with the correct codes and know all the jobs that their abilities could be used in
