In my region, we're very fortunate to have several partnerships where we all work together to make career pathways a possibility through microcredentials at the SUNY level and business education partnerships in school districts. We can always work on the awareness piece for programs such as these for students and adults to be aware of the many opportunities.
I asked a question in an email and then in the rest of the body of the email discussed what my prior meeting was about. I thought it was clear and concise however both recipients missed my questions. I followed up two days later in the email and they said they read past it. Next time, I'll be sure to make it more visible as to what I'm asking so there is no confusion.
This module has made me more self-aware of being a better critical thinker. I should never assume, and always lead with facts and have backing when doing so.
I've been in meetings where people get off task and that's why it's important to remember to have an agenda and provide it before the meeting. While we support additional conversation around a certain topic, we have to be mindful of people's time and therefore they can continue the conversation after the meeting so we can stay on track and accomplish what needs to be done.
Leader was open to new ideas & change. Leader was a good listener and was honest when changes were to be made even if we didn't agree. Leader was understanding and supportive of team.
