One primary challenge in this area is assisting clients needing to transition from military to civilian occupations. Defining appropriate MOS to civilian occupational correlations, assessments, and clearly defining each individual's goals/wants have been vital.
My region has a high percentage of military personnel seeking to transition into civilian occupations. A job analysis report focusing on Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) and their comparable civilian job families could help all stakeholders better understand and employer stakeholders better utilize this pool of ever emerging talent in the region.
Job analysis reports could have supported my work in better determining requirements/prerequisites for pending hires.
I would be to reach out to agencies to get a broader overview of regional needs as well as engaging employers to determine their needs. I would use both to get an initial view of regional needs.
