I have been faced with communication challenges often. From both ends receiving and giving the message. A great tool I have been given to use I ask what did you hear me say or what I heard you say was? This is to help make sure the intended message was given or received.
The thing that made this leader successful was she considered the goal of all stakeholders and was able to clearly explain the "why" and how the change would help all stakeholders reach their individual goals as well as benefit the organization as a whole.
I think a great way to have continuous growth is to periodically review my professional goals and see what are the items that I am missing to develop my career further as a leader and take action into getting these accomplished.
I currently do not work supporting any career pathways clients, but from my experience with employees who participate in the program a challenge is getting them to commit and stay engaged. A success is when they complete the program and are excited about their future career.
I can see how job analysis reports could be helpful in assisting with helping clients find a career and put in place career goals to move up the ladder in that field.
